About REST API Integration

The REST API integration is Booga's universal connector. Any system with a REST API like internal tools, third-party services, custom databases, or proprietary platforms, can send data to and receive data from Booga agents and workflows.

How this integration works

Outbound requests: Agents can call external REST APIs mid-workflow - fetch data, trigger actions in third-party systems, or post results to external endpoints.

Inbound data: Configure REST endpoints that external systems can push data to, feeding directly into Booga knowledge bases or agent triggers.

Authentication support: API key, OAuth 2.0, Bearer token, and custom header authentication methods supported.

Request/response mapping: Define how external API responses are parsed and mapped into Booga's data model - JSON path extraction, field mapping, error handling.

Fully audited: Every outbound API call and inbound data push is logged in the audit module with request metadata, response status, and tenant scope.

Getting Started
  1. Navigate to Integrations in your Booga dashboard.

  2. Select REST API and create a new connection.

  3. Configure the endpoint URL, authentication method, and request headers.

  4. Define field mappings for request and response payloads.

  5. Use the connection in agent workflows, schedulers, or event triggers.
